HTB/Win Survey

 

Introduction

HTB/Win will be a Windows version of the DOS based HTB utility that comes with TEMPO. HTB allows the user to view and manipulate HTB files (TEMPO database files). Great Island Software will develop HTB/Win and freely distribute it to TEMPO users and their collaborators. This project is currently in the gathering of requirements phase. Your input will help to ensure that HTB/Win becomes a useful utility to the scientific community.

1. Below is a list of the features of the existing HTB/DOS program.  Each feature is listed with its command line switch and description.  Rate the usefulness of feature.  1= not useful, 5 = Must have.

Rating New Feature
It is intended for HTB/Win to have a graphical user interface. HTB/Win should also support the HTB/DOS command line interface.
While browsing HTB files in a directory, clicking on an HTB file displays its summary information.
Ability to directly manipulate of HTB files within a ZIP file. Select a zip file, see the HTB files listed within the zip files, and select a zipped HTB file to open or view summary information.
Extract time-stamped data from databases.  For example, extract spike times or event times.
Simplified extraction of databases into Matlab.
